Battery Rebates in Perth (WA)
Two government rebates can take thousands of dollars off a home battery in Perth, and you can claim both together. We make the whole process simple — here is how each rebate works.
1. WA Government rebate (Synergy)
Synergy customers can claim $130 per kWh of battery storage, capped at $1,300.
To qualify, you join a Virtual Power Plant (VPP): you let the grid use a small amount of your stored energy during peak demand, and you are paid for it. Synergy can do this up to 30 times a year (up to six hours each time), and you can opt out after two years.
A $10,000 no-interest loan is also available through the WA scheme to spread the upfront cost.
2. Federal Government rebate
The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program cuts roughly 30% off the upfront price of your battery. The rebate is largest on the first portion of capacity and gets smaller as the battery grows, and it steps down every six months, so acting sooner means more savings. Use the slider to estimate yours.

Solar STCs — Your Up-Front Discount on the Panels
Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) are the federal solar incentive under the Renewable Energy Target. They come straight off the price of your solar panels, up front. How many you receive depends on your system size and the year you install — and the rate steps down every January through to 2030.

We installed 15.8kwh Sunpower P7 panel with 15kwh Sigenergy Inverter and 32kwh Sigenergy battery with home gateway and also Sigenergy EV charger to future proof our house and less reliance on grid. Hiroshi and the team came on time with everything ready with the plan and confirmation with my self to choose the best location of all the gear. Within less than 2 days everything installed and commissioned smoothly with no mess left behind. The information given was clear and concise with substantial supporting information such that I felt like I was making an informed decision, not receiving a sales pitch. Tom was particularly helpful - taking time to talk through our concerns and questions as well as working with me to ensure that I would financially benefit from the addition of a battery. Installation was excellent. The installer Ladell and his assistant turned up exactly when they said they would, cracked on and just got it done. It was a very neat install complete with bollards to protect the battery (it's in my carport). Customer service was thorough and appropriate. I've had several follow up emails and message confirming payment, the manual and also a snapshot of our power efficiency with the battery online. Also some advice on how to reduce our enerfgy bill further. Overall this is as good an experience as I have had with renovations and upgrades. Everything was clear, well presented, timely and professional.
