Back in April of 2023, we installed a Solar and Battery system in Burns Beach for our customer, Kevin. The 10kW of QCells solar panels are connected to a 10kW Fronius Symo GEN24+ hybrid inverter with a 19.3kWh BYD battery.
Often overlooked is the mounting system used to secure the solar panels to the roof. Knowing this, many cost-cutting solar companies will use cheap mounting to achieve lower pricing. SAVINGS SO FAR...
Today we logged into the online monitoring to check the system performance & savings. It has been 678 days, to be exact, since this Solar & Battery system was installed. Over that time, Kevin’s home has used 23,450 kWh of energy, which equates to an average daily consumption of 34.6 kWh per day.
Without a Solar & Battery system, that kind of high power usage would result in electricity bills of $725. Ouch!
Instead, Kevin’s average daily Grid usage is down to only 4.7kWh per day. The other 29.9 kWh per day is supplied by the Solar & Battery system. The Result – Average electricity bills of only $140.
In 2024, Kevin achieved $3,304 in savings throughout the year!
