Earlier this year we installed a Solar and Battery system in Mosman Park for our customer, Jamie. The 8.2kW of All-Black QCells panels are connected to a 10kW Sungrow Hybrid inverter and 9.6kWh Sungrow SBR battery
The roof was sloping South, so tilt frames were required to improve performance. However, two rows of solar panels installed on regular tilt frames would have caused row-to-row shading. To solve this problem, we used 30-degree Double Tripod tilt frames instead; a sturdy solution supplied by our friends at Clenergy.
This solar installation in Mosman Park can produce an average of 36 units per day and provide the home with solar power during the day, and battery power at night.
With a new electric car to charge, Jamie is now considering expanding his Sungrow battery with a few more 3.2kWh battery modules. Maybe even a full 25.6kWh stack.
