We recently installed a Solar and Battery system in North Perth for our customer, John. The 6.6kW of Jinko Tiger Neo solar panels are connected to a 5kW Sungrow Hybrid inverter and 9.6kWh Sungrow battery.
Due to the 45-degree pitch roof, John had multiple solar companies put this job in the “too hard basket“. But after a proper safety analysis, and the necessary safety precautions taken, our team got the job done.
This Solar & Battery installation in North Perth will produce an average of 22 kWh per day and provide the home with solar power during the day, and battery power at night.

3-MONTH SAVINGS UPDATE
With high power usage both day & night, we advised John to switch to the Synergy Midday Saver plan to take advantage of the cheap Off-Peak rates available.
On cloudy days, John is still able to fully charge his battery using a combination of Solar Power and ‘Super Off-Peak’ grid power (8.4-cents/kWh)
With a fully charged battery every day, the 9.6kWh of stored energy is usually enough to power his house from 3pm – 9pm; avoiding purchasing expensive Peak grid power (52.5-cents/kWh)
After 9pm, even if the battery is depleted, John continues to achieve savings on the cheap overnight Off-Peak rate (23.1-cents/kWh)
In total, John has used 1,980 kWh of energy from his Solar & Battery system which equates to approx $750 in savings over the past 3 months.
