We recently upgraded this existing 6.6kW system for our customer, Charles, in Parmelia.
First, we replaced the existing 5kW inverter with a new 15kW Sungrow Hybrid inverter. Unlike most inverters with 2 inputs, the Sungrow SH15T inverter has 3 inputs. This allowed us to connect the existing 24 x 275W panels to the new inverter, and install an extra 12 x 440W Canadian Solar panels facing West on the 3rd input. Charles now has a total of 11.88kW of solar panels.
We also installed a 16kWh Sungrow SBR battery to boost Charles savings even further.
This solar installation in Parmelia can produce an average of 47 kWh per day and provide the home with solar power during the day, and battery power at night. Not to mention emergency Backup Power for grid-outages.
