Win a solar and battery system for your home

1. The promoter

The competition is run by Positive Energy Solutions Pty Ltd, ACN 647 921 186, of 59 Howe Street, Osborne Park WA 6017 (the Promoter). Phone 1300 180 999, e-mail [email protected]. The competition is not associated with the Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia.

2. Who may enter

Entry is open to residents of Western Australia aged 18 years or over who own the home at the address given on their entry. Employees of the Promoter, its contractors and their immediate families may not enter. Entry is free.

3. How to enter

Enter once, either on this page or on a paper entry slip placed in the barrel at the Promoter’s stand at the Perth Royal Show. Entries open at 9:00 am on Saturday 26 September 2026 and close at 11:59 pm on Sunday 4 October 2026, Perth time. An entry needs a name and a phone number or e-mail address; the other questions help the Promoter prepare your estimate. One entry per person; a second entry from the same person is treated as the first.

4. The prize

There is one prize, matched to the winner’s home. A home without solar wins an 8 kW solar system with an 18 kWh SigEnergy battery and a 5 kW inverter. A home that already has solar wins a 27 kWh SigEnergy battery with a 5 kW inverter. The prize is supplied and installed by the Promoter’s accredited installers at the address on the winning entry, signed off to the Promoter’s completion standards, and carries the Promoter’s standard warranties. The prize is not transferable and is not redeemable for cash.

5. What the prize covers

The prize is based on a single storey home with a tin roof and a standard installation. The following are not part of the prize and, where the winner wants the installation to proceed, are charged at the Promoter’s standard rates: double storey work, tile roof work, switchboard upgrades, meter changes, structural or roofing repairs, trenching and long cable runs, any work required by the network operator before the system can be connected, and travel outside the Perth metropolitan area. Installation is subject to the home being suitable for the system, to the winner holding the network operator’s approval to connect it, and to the winner’s acceptance of the Promoter’s standard installation agreement. Any government rebates, certificates or incentives that apply to the prize system are assigned to the Promoter as part of the prize.

6. The draw

The winner is drawn at random from all valid entries at the Promoter’s showroom, 59 Howe Street, Osborne Park, after entries close. The winner is notified by phone and e-mail within two business days of the draw, and the winner’s name and suburb are published on this page. If the winner cannot be contacted, declines the prize or is found to be ineligible within 14 days of the draw, the prize is redrawn from the remaining valid entries. The prize must be installed within six months of the draw unless the Promoter agrees otherwise in writing.

7. Your estimated quote

Every entrant who owns their home receives an estimated quote for their own home shortly after entering, prepared from the answers on their entry. It is an estimate: while it is largely accurate, the design, the pricing and the components are finalised with a consultant after the home has been looked at. The estimated quote is not part of the prize and places no obligation on the entrant or the Promoter.

8. Contact and privacy

By entering you agree that the Promoter may contact you by phone, e-mail and text message about the competition and about the Promoter’s solar, battery and related products and services. You may opt out of marketing contact at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an e-mail, or contacting the Promoter. Your details are handled under the Promoter’s privacy policy.

9. General

The Promoter may verify an entrant’s eligibility and may disqualify an incomplete, illegible or ineligible entry. The Promoter’s decisions are final. To the extent the law allows, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or injury arising from the competition or the prize, except where it results from the Promoter’s own negligence. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
