WA & Federal Battery Rebates

Two government rebates can take thousands of dollars off a home battery in Perth, and you can claim both together. We make the whole process simple — here is how each rebate works.

1. WA Government rebate (Synergy)

Synergy customers can claim $130 per kWh of battery storage, capped at $1,300.

To qualify, you join a Virtual Power Plant (VPP): you let the grid use a small amount of your stored energy during peak demand, and you are paid for it. Synergy can do this up to 30 times a year, and you can opt out after two years.

A WA no-interest loan up to $10,000, powered by Plenti, is also available to spread the upfront cost.

2. Federal Government rebate

The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program rebate is worked out on the battery's usable capacity, with the full rate on the first 14 kWh. It steps down over time, so acting sooner means a larger rebate. Use the slider to estimate yours.

Battery size: 15 kWh
Federal rebate (estimate): $3,762
Combined, on a 15 kWh battery:
$5,062 in rebates

SolarQuotes rated Positive Energy the number one solar company in Perth in 2023 and 2024. As a New Energy Tech Approved Seller, we handle the rebate paperwork for you and make sure you claim every dollar you are entitled to.

Estimate only, based on a $38 STC price and May–Dec 2026 rates. Rebate amounts and rules can change, and your final savings depend on your home and system. We confirm the latest figures before you buy. Battery rebates step down 1 January 2027. Sources: WA Government (Energy Policy WA) and DCCEEW, 2026.

Warranty & Proactive After-Sales

A premium system deserves premium backing — here is what protects your investment with Positive Energy, and how to judge a battery warranty when you compare.

Two warranties, one point of contact

Sungrow warrants the battery for 10 years and promises at least 70 per cent of its capacity at the end, with unlimited cycles for daily self-consumption and backup. Every Positive Energy system adds a 10-year installation workmanship warranty as standard. We are your single point of contact and handle any manufacturer claim for you.

How to judge a battery warranty

When you compare, look beyond the headline number at total throughput (the kWh guaranteed over its life), output retention (premium batteries hold around 70 to 80% of capacity at 10 years), and how cycles are counted.

Positive Energy Protection, Powered by Omnidian

A warranty is only as good as the team behind it. Every system includes Positive Energy Protection: our in-house service manager and engineers, backed by Omnidian — an award-winning after-sales partner (Global Cleantech 100, 2022–24) providing 24/7 monitoring, first-line support and a local Perth field-service team. Many issues are caught and fixed before you notice.

Positive Energy made the whole solar process incredibly smooth from start to finish. The team was clear, professional, and always kept me updated. Installation was tidy, well‑organised, and done with real care. The system is performing beautifully, and the follow‑up support has been excellent. Really happy with the experience and the quality of their work.

Positive Energy Solutions were amazing to work with. They were the most professional and the cheapest for like for like quotes. They kept in touch with me prior to installation, forwarded by email all the necessary information I needed, managed all the submissions and approvals.
Installation went very smoothly with very friendly, polite and professional installers. They had a problem connecting to the power as it was in an awkward corner but they managed it successfully and it was very neatly done. I’m very happy with the service and the outcome. The app they connected me to is very informative too. Thanks guys, I’m looking forward to reducing my electricity bills!

We installed 15.8kwh Sunpower P7 panel with 15kwh Sigenergy Inverter and 32kwh Sigenergy battery with home gateway and also Sigenergy EV charger to future proof our house and less reliance on grid. So far system work well with 98.5% utilisation. After cosnultation with Maya from the sales team in December 2025 we go ahead and book our install in March 2026. Come installation day. Hiroshi and the team came on time with everything ready with the plan and confirmation with my self to choose the best location of all the gear.

Within less than 2 days everything installed and commissioned smoothly with no mess left behind. With this kind of install basically i am a very happy customer and would highly recommend the company based on my experience. It is not the cheapest system but for me its one of the best in the market for my peace of mind in the long run. Highly Recommended company to trust your solar and battery installation.

We would like to give a big thank you to Louis and the team at Positive Energy Solutions for the excellent Fronius solar system they installed for us.

We were so pleased with the solar panels and hybrid inverter they installed for us when our home was getting built two years ago, that when it came to getting a battery it was a no brainer to go with Positive Energy again.

We had done our own research into which battery to get and Louis’s knowledge and honesty made it an easy decision. We also invested in the whole house back up system. We had the battery installed on 18 November 2025.

The workmanship was excellent and the job was done neatly and with no mess left behind. We have no hesitation in recommending Positive Energy and are so happy with the system we chose.

Update - 24/04/26 we had an issue with our battery charger not connecting to the internet so rang Positive Energy service for assistance. We spoke to Zeb who was very helpful and efficient and resolved our matter really quickly, so thank you and a big shout out to you for brilliant service as well as quality products. We couldn’t be happier with our Positive Energy solar system and service!

The sales and quoting process was really good. The information given was clear and concise with substantial supporting information such that I felt like I was making an informed decision, not receiving a sales pitch. Tom was particularly helpful - taking time to talk through our concerns and questions as well as working with me to ensure that I would financially benefit from the addition of a battery.
Installation was excellent. The installer Ladell and his assistant turned up exactly when they said they would, cracked on and just got it done.

It was a very neat install complete with bollards to protect the battery (it's in my carport).
Customer service was thorough and appropriate. I've had several follow up emails and message confirming payment, the manual and also a snapshot of our power efficiency with the battery online. Also some advice on how to reduce our enerfgy bill further.
Overall this is as good an experience as I have had with renovations and upgrades. Everything was clear, well presented, timely and professional.
