Lockridge Solar Solutions

The global leader with the highest solar per capita is Australia. This is reflected with nearly one in three homes now having solar.

Solar in Lockridge, Lockridge is a Perth suburb in Western Australia’s Bassendean division and the City of Swan local government region. In 1837, major Western Australian landowner Edward Hamersley purchased Lockridge. The area was named after Lockeridge House, which was erected in 1874 by his son, Samuel. However, residential construction did not begin until 1969, with urban regeneration commencing in the late 1990s. Rosher Park, Kiara College, Lockridge Primary School, and the Alice Daveron Community Centre are all nearby attractions. Swan Valley Nyungah Community was nearby. The suburb has a population of 3,467 people according to the 2016 Australian census. Lockridge is located approximately 12kms from the capital Perth covering an area of 1.466 square kilometres.

When a simple solar system is paired with a solar battery it is able too eliminate bills entirely.

The “Duck Curve” Graph

In the graph it demonstrates a “Duck Curve” which shows the extreme changes in grid demand that occurs throughout a day as a result of the rapid uptake of solar power.

A noticeable dip in grid power demand can be seen as the sun rises. Smart homes & businesses with solar panels generate their own electricity and require little, if any, power from the grid. In fact, many solar owners generate excess solar power and export it to the grid, further reducing the need for dirty-coal-power to be generated.

Solar for Lockridge

Did you know with solar power you don’t need to turn it on in the morning – the system knows when to automatically for you. The system will know when to switch between solar power and the grid automatically, as your solar power system will determine when is best to do so.

This based on the amount of energy being produced and consumed in your home. A quality solar system requires very little ongoing maintenance, that means you’ll hardly know it’s there, except for the money you will be saving!

Your solar inverter (usually installed in your garage or in an easily accessible spot), can provide you with a lot of information such as the amount of electricity being produced at any particular time, how much it has generated that day or in total since it was installed. Most quality inverters feature Wi-Fi connectivity and include easy online monitoring.

Protecting yourself from rising energy prices

Generate years of free electricity from the sun with a new solar system. This means that your electricity bills will be substantially reduce or even eliminated, giving you the peace of mind that you’re protected from the constant rising electricity prices.

Doing your bit for the environment

Electricty generated and consumed from your own solar system which means that you’ll draw a lot less electricity from the grid. This means less coal and/or gas is burnt at a power station reducing the use of the biggest source of carbon pollution worldwide.

Installing a solar system is the single most important step you can take towards reducing your carbon footprint.

Lockridge Local Government Rebates & Incentives

The Federal Government’s STC rebate Scheme provides thousands of dollars towards the cost of purchasing and installing your solar system. Along with the government schemes to help you install your solar system there are also state based feed-in tariff schemes that will provide a payment system for any excess electricity that is generated and feed back into the grid.
