When SigEnergy expanded into the Perth market, they did not open their battery systems to any retailer who wanted to quote them. They selected a small number of Gold Installers. Positive Energy Solutions is one of them. We hold SigEnergy Gold Installer status on their official installer map.
Our model is a little different from a standard solar company. Positive Energy Solutions handles the design, specification, and ongoing support for every SigenStor system. Every system is installed by our accredited installers, signed off to Positive Energy’s completion standards. They are trained on SigenStor systems and accountable to the same standard on every job.
This post explains what SigEnergy’s retailer selection involves. It covers what this means in practice for homeowners, and why it matters who designs and stands behind your system, not just who shows up on the day to install it.
1. SigEnergy in Perth: Why It Matters Who Sells You One
SigEnergy’s SigenStor is one of the more impressive battery systems available in Perth right now. It uses modular 9kWh units that stack up to 54kWh per stack. It is DC-coupled for efficiency, and backed by a manufacturer that takes support seriously. It is a product that does what it says.
But the battery is only part of the story. How a system gets designed, sized, and commissioned makes a real difference to how it performs day to day. A battery that is the wrong size for your home, or set up without proper inverter integration, will underperform. This holds true no matter what the spec sheet says.
SigEnergy knows this. That is why they do not sell through anyone who asks. They chose five retailers in Perth. That is it. The idea is simple. Keep the number small enough to train everyone properly, and keep a direct relationship. Know that every SigenStor leaving the warehouse is going into a system built the right way.
Positive Energy Solutions holds Gold installer status on SigEnergy’s official map. We are one of only a handful of companies in WA to hold it. Here is how we operate. Positive Energy Solutions designs your system, manages your warranty, monitors your performance, and is accountable for the outcome. Every system is installed by our accredited installers and signed off to Positive Energy’s completion standards.
2. What Becoming a SigEnergy Gold Installer Involves
Becoming a SigEnergy Gold Installer is not a matter of signing up to a trade portal. It involves direct engagement with SigEnergy’s technical team, formal training on the SigenStor system, and an ongoing relationship. That relationship gives retailers direct access to manufacturer support.
Direct manufacturer training
Every member of the Positive Energy Solutions team working with SigenStor systems has completed SigEnergy’s technical training program. This covers system design, correct installation and commissioning procedures, integration with compatible inverters, and fault diagnosis. SigEnergy delivers the training directly. It does not come through a third-party training provider working from documentation.
In-house engineering review on every job
Before any SigenStor system goes to installation, it goes through Positive Energy Solutions’ in-house engineering team. Every job is reviewed for correct system sizing, inverter compatibility, cable routing, and compliance with Western Power network requirements. This is not a tick-box step. It is the point where design decisions get pressure-tested by engineers. They know what can go wrong, and how to prevent it.
On installation day, our accredited installers carry out a final site-specific design review before work begins. No two roofs or switchboards are identical. Cable runs, mounting positions, and connection points can vary from what is visible in pre-installation planning. Where site conditions require it, our installers have the training and authority to make the final call on system design. They make this call on the day. The engineering review sets the framework. The installers on site make the definitive decisions, based on what they actually find.
For homeowners, this means the system has been independently reviewed before anyone sets foot on your roof. It is refined again once they are there. This sets apart a retailer with an engineering function. A company that just quotes and books does not offer that same layer of oversight.
Direct access to SigEnergy
Being a Gold Installer means direct access to SigEnergy’s technical team when we need it. Suppose an unusual installation scenario comes up, a commissioning question is not covered in the documentation, or a system needs support after installation. We do not lodge a ticket into a general support queue. We have a direct line to the people who built the product.
For homeowners, this means faster resolution of any technical questions. It also means a shorter path between a problem being identified and being solved.
Ongoing relationship
SigEnergy’s Gold Installer program is not a one-time certification. It is an ongoing relationship. It includes access to product updates, firmware release notes, and early visibility of changes to the SigenStor platform. When SigEnergy changes their product, whether a software update, a hardware revision, or a specification change, Gold Installers hear about it first.
3. What This Means for You as a Customer
Buying a SigenStor through a Gold Installer, rather than a general retailer, makes a practical difference in a few specific ways.
- Full manufacturer warranty backing: SigEnergy’s warranty is fully backed when a Gold Installer sells and installs the system. Systems sold through retailers outside SigEnergy’s Gold tier may face complications when warranty claims are lodged, because the manufacturer has no record of the install. There is also no established relationship with the retailer handling it.
- Correctly designed systems: SigenStor systems need to be designed around the home’s energy profile, roof generation, and inverter compatibility. Because of our training, our system designs are based on the actual SigEnergy specifications, not a generic battery approach applied to a specific product.
- Commissioning done properly: commissioning a SigenStor involves more than plugging in modules. It needs correct inverter pairing, software configuration, and verification that the system operates within its design parameters. Positive Energy Solutions has done this across multiple installations. We know what a correctly commissioned SigenStor system looks like.
- Post-installation support: if a question or issue comes up after your system is running, Positive Energy Solutions can escalate it directly to SigEnergy’s technical team. That path is not available outside the Gold tier.
4. The SigenStor Battery: What Positive Energy Solutions Installs
For homeowners who have not looked at the SigenStor in detail, here is a summary of what the system delivers.
- Modular design: each SigenStor module stores 9kWh of usable energy. Modules stack together, so the system can be sized to the home’s actual needs, instead of forcing a fixed capacity choice.
- Maximum capacity in WA: each SigenStor stack holds up to 54kWh (six modules of 9kWh each). Up to around seven stacks can be installed in parallel on one LoadHub. This gives a maximum usable capacity of approximately 380kWh. That makes the SigenStor one of the highest-capacity residential battery options available in the country.
- DC coupling: the SigenStor connects on the DC side of the inverter, before energy is converted to AC. This is the more efficient coupling arrangement. Energy generated by solar panels can charge the battery without an extra conversion step. This reduces losses.
- Backup capability: the SigenStor includes backup power for use during an outage, keeping your home running when the grid goes down.
- Inverter compatibility: the SigenStor is designed to work with the SigEnergy hybrid inverter in an integrated DC-coupled configuration. Positive Energy Solutions designs every SigenStor system around this pairing.
The SigenStor sits in the mid-to-premium tier of the residential battery market. It is not the lowest-cost option available, and it is not intended to be. It is built for homeowners who want meaningful storage capacity, reliable performance, and a warranty they can actually rely on.
5. Positive Energy Solutions’ Experience Installing SigenStor Systems
Positive Energy Solutions has designed and installed SigenStor systems across Perth homes. This spans from the coastal northern suburbs to the hills and the southern corridor. That hands-on experience matters in ways that training alone cannot replicate.
We have learned how the SigenStor performs across different roof configurations and energy profiles. We know what a well-commissioned system looks like when it operates correctly. We know the signs that something in the setup needs attention, before a homeowner notices it in their bill. We have worked through real installation scenarios with SigEnergy’s technical team directly. That means we bring this experience to every new system we design.
Every installer we work with on SigenStor systems has completed the SigEnergy training program. The people commissioning your system know the product.
6. Omnidian Monitoring on Every SigenStor System
Every solar and battery system that Positive Energy Solutions installs, including every SigenStor, is independently monitored through Omnidian.
Omnidian is a dedicated after-sales service company, a Performance Assurance specialist. It tracks system performance in real time against expected output. This is based on your panels, battery, inverter, roof orientation, and local weather. When it detects an issue, it investigates and coordinates any service or warranty action needed. Omnidian is independent of the battery manufacturer, the inverter manufacturer, and Positive Energy Solutions. Its job is to flag when something in the system is not behaving as it should.
For a SigenStor system, Omnidian monitoring covers any deviation from expected battery charge and discharge behaviour, or any solar generation shortfall. These get identified and flagged early. You will not find out your system has been underperforming by noticing your electricity bill has crept up. Omnidian catches it in the data first.
This matters especially for battery systems. The interaction between solar generation, battery charging and discharging, and grid import and export creates more variables to track. This is more than a solar-only system involves. Omnidian handles that complexity automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Positive Energy Solutions the only SigEnergy Gold retailer in Perth?
No. There are a small number of Gold-status SigEnergy retailers in WA. What makes Positive Energy Solutions different is our model. Every system is installed by our accredited installers, signed off to Positive Energy’s completion standards, with an in-house engineering team that reviews every job before installation.
What does SigEnergy Gold status mean?
Gold is the top tier in SigEnergy’s retailer and installer recognition program. It reflects installation volume, technical capability, and the quality of systems delivered. Positive Energy Solutions holds Gold status on SigEnergy’s official map for Australia.
Can I buy a SigenStor through any solar company?
SigenStor batteries are only available through SigEnergy’s Gold Installer network. They are not sold through general electrical wholesalers or online. If a company is quoting you a SigenStor, they should be able to show you their status on SigEnergy’s official map.
What happens if I have a problem with my SigenStor after installation?
Positive Energy Solutions handles all post-installation support directly. Because we have direct access to SigEnergy’s technical team, any warranty or performance issue goes through us. You do not need to contact SigEnergy yourself. Combined with Omnidian monitoring on every system, most issues are identified and addressed before homeowners are even aware of them.
Does the engineering review add time to the process?
The engineering review is built into Positive Energy Solutions’ standard job workflow. It happens between quote approval and installation booking. It does not add meaningful time to your timeline, and it means the installation team arrives well-prepared. That said, our accredited installers make the final design decisions on the day. Once they are on your roof and at your switchboard, they assess what site conditions actually require and design accordingly. The pre-install review is the foundation. The installers’ on-the-day judgement is what gets the job done right.
What is the difference between buying through Positive Energy Solutions and buying through a general installer?
A general installer quotes, installs, and moves on. Positive Energy Solutions designs the system and has it reviewed by our engineering team. We manage the installation through our accredited installers, monitor the system through Omnidian, and handle all ongoing support with direct manufacturer access. The accountability stays in one place, for the life of the system.
