Solar panels carry two warranties: a product warranty on the panel itself, and a performance warranty that guarantees output over 25 years and beyond.
SunPower offers the leading solar panel warranty at 30 years on both product and performance, while most reputable panels offer a 25-year product warranty.
Inverters
Your inverter carries a manufacturer warranty covering electronic and manufacturing faults, typically for 10 years and longer on many premium inverters.
The inverter converts your solar into usable power every day, so a strong warranty matters, and we manage any claim for you.
Batteries
Every battery we install carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty.
Quality batteries are built to hold around 70% to 80% of their capacity at 10 years.
Installation workmanship
On top of the manufacturer warranties, every Positive Energy system includes our 10-year installation workmanship warranty.

Batteries earn the federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate plus the WA Residential Battery Scheme, about $130 per usable kWh, up to $1,300 on the Synergy network. As a New Energy Tech Approved Seller we claim them on your behalf and take them off your quote.
Rebates step down on 1 January 2027.

Positive Energy Protection, powered by Omnidian, monitors your system and supports you after installation.
Can I add a battery to my existing solar?
Yes. Around one in four batteries we install is a retrofit to existing solar, and you keep your panels.
Depending on your inverter and wiring we add a compatible battery or AC-couple one that works alongside almost any system. We confirm compatibility and your price in your quote.
